Scholarships

Dr. Pearson and two students with awardsEach year, the Office of Nontraditional and Evening Services offer eligible ONES participants the opportunity to receive a Grant Aid scholarship. To receive the scholarship, students must fulfill the guidelines established in the Office of Nontraditional and Evening Services Contract. Students are encouraged to meet with their ONES counselor to address any questions or concerns they have about the contract. The minimum requirements are listed below: Eligibility requirements

  • Current ONES participants
  • Currently receiving the Federal Pell Grant
  • Have a high level of unmet need or a need for loan forgiveness

In addition, a minimum of each of the following (as determined by the ONES staff) is required to comply with the contract:

  • Counselor contacts each semester
  • ONES workshops each semester
  • Received approved tutoring throughout the academic year
  • Submit and review the four (4) week progress report each semester (and mid-term report, if requested)
  • Maintain a minimum of a 2.50 cumulative G.P.A.

*Approved tutoring included documented evidence showing attendance in one of the following:

  • Academic Resource Center (ARC)
  • Math Enhancement Sessions
  • Professor-led sessions
  • Approved tutor as assigned by the ONES staff
