Math Enhancement Sessions

Female Student In LibraryOne of the offerings of the Office of Non-traditional and Evening Services (ONES) is a program to support students in their foundational mathematics courses. This program, Math Enhancement Sessions, is designed to ensure the success of those students primarily enrolled in College of Professional Advancement foundational mathematics courses (FDLS 115 and Math 120). Sessions in the program provide problem-solving techniques and guided practice, coaching in beneficial strategies and outlooks towards studying math, and solid tutorial instruction to fill in cognitive gaps or to correct misconceptions as students learn foundational math. This program is intended to be optimally valuable for the student in jeopardy in mathematics and to be as accessible as possible, to be offered at least two times during each week classes are in session, at Douglas, Henry, and Macon locations if at all possible.
